Commonly there is no difference between copper sand casting and aluminum sand casting. If any, only the melting points of such two casting alloys are different.Of course, the shrinkage of the brass (copper) casting alloy is quite different from that of aluminum casting alloy. Thus when we make sand casting molds, we should take the different shrinkage rate into consideration.
Besides above mentioned points, the melting of brass alloy is a quite technical work. Commonly, the brass casting alloy should be melted by adding other elements into the electrical furnace to obtained the required chemical composition and corresponding mechanical property. Because there is always only pure copper available in the market, as doesn't like aluminum casting alloy almost all types of which can be bought in the market.
As a China copper sand casting company, we would like to show more about copper sand casting if anyone wanted to know.
